This is a collection of individial WebQuest units found on the internet.

Revolutionary War WebQuest - The Continental Peace Conference   by Richard Levine.  It is 1775 and your students have a chance to prevent the war.  Will they take it?

Space Colony Gr. 6-12 by Richard Levine. Students make plans to establish a colony in our solar system. In my opinion, this unit is more challenging than the other space WebQuests mentioned below. This implies the possibility of more growth for your students.

Civil War Herald Gr. 6-12 by Lana Brozik, Kathleen Kaup, and Richard Levine in School District U-46, IL has your students take on the role of editors and reporters as they describe the War Between the States and the events and issues leading up to the conflict.

Scrooge for Mayor WebQuest Gr. 6-12 by Marilou Haworth and Amy Hurlock focusses on the Industrial Revolution and A Christmas Carol. Your students have been enlisted in putting together a list of important issues for Scrooge's campaign to run for mayor of London.

The Industrial Revolution: A WebQuest on The Birth of Modern Times: Was life better as a result of the Industrial Revolution? Gr.8-12 by Maria Bartolotti, Kim Bedor, Cathy Bond, Rosalie Breslin, Mildred Cammisa, and Jill Goldsmith of Conestoga High School,  Berwyn, PA.

American Dreams Through The Decades (History/Social Studies with Language Arts, Visual and Performing Arts) Gr. 6-12 This is a GREAT unit and variations can be used with many themes. This project was created by Leni Donlan and Kathleen Ferenz , American Memory Fellows to the National Digital Library.

Space Station Phyve  by Mr. Richard De Ruvo at Monticello High School (NY) is a challenging WebQuest in which students build a space station.

Intergalactic Travel Agents Gr. 4-8  created by Cindy Brown for the University of Central Florida, Dr. Gunter (ED313). This has more step-by-step structure than the Space Colony Webquest.

Planetary Adventure Gr. 5-8 created by Gretchen Offutt, Bellingham (WA) School District. This has more step-by-step structure than the Space Colony WebQuest.

Create-A-Habitat Gr. 5-8 has students look at the problem "There is an empty 10 gallon tank in our classroom that needs to be filled! What can we fill it with that we can afford, and that we will be able to maintain?" created by Anna Zuccarini and Peg Vandeleur, Indian Prairie District 204, Crone Middle School and  Hill Middle School,  Naperville, Illinois.

The Ancient World Explorer (Ancient World History) Gr. 6-12   by Ty Benoit, History Instructor and former middle school teacher, Butte Community College, Oroville, California.

Ancient Egypt  Webquest  created by Matthew Durant, Chelmsford (MA) Public Charter School.

Earthquakes vs. Volcanoes Gr. 6-9 Which one would YOU prefer to live next to? Created by Mrs. Friend,  Atascadero Junior High and edited by Elaine Fitzgerald and Joette Sirmon,  J.B. Martin Middle School, St. Charles IA.

Music History Hall of Fame WebQuest Gr. 5-12 by Linda Carrier, Easthampton (MA).

Smallville Prairie Development Project Gr. 6-8  by Lawrence C. Cwik and Patricia Franzen, Madison Junior High School, Naperville (IL); Dr. William F. Fraccaro, Johnson Elementary School, Warrenville (IL); and Christine Schwarz, Glenbard East High School, Lombard (IL).

Fractals: Math or Art? Gr. 9-12 by Shari Galgano.

Vietnam Webquest Gr. 11 created by Cathy Noble, West Sioux Community High Schools - American History and English

The Costs of War (H.S.) by D. Moore, J. Thiem, and P. Minamide has students examine the conditions under which they may go to war.

Adventure into the Unknown... A WebQuest on the Lewis and Clark Expedition designed by Missy Lanza, Samantha Levin, and Molly Decker for EDUC 343: Computers in the Classroom, Dr. Patricia Stohr-Hunt, University of Richmond.

The Battle of the Battlefields (History - Revolutionary War) Gr. 5-12 by Mitch Mendosa.

To Kill a Mockingbird: Growing up in the 1930s Gr. 7-12 by Anne Thomas-Abbott, Fulton High School, Knoxville, TN (inspired by and developed based on a webquest designed by Jill Clark and Jan Hedberg).

Port of Entry: Immigration Gr. 8-12  from the Library of Congress doesn't follow the "classic" WebQuest format but still makes students think!

Painted Rocks Webquest Gr. 4-8 by Susana Martinez.

The Trial of Standing Bear Gr. 4-10 by Karen Harness, Delano Union School District CA has students evaluating the background to the forced relocation of Native Americans in the 1870s.

Acid Rain Gr. 5-8 by Amy Bakewell allows students to present information about acid rain to their city council. Ms. Bakewell is a student at the University of Northern Iowa in 210:161 Teaching Elementary School Science under the direction of Lisa Krapfl, Instructor and Karla Krueger, Curriculum & Technology Project Specialist.
