PREDICT THE WEATHER

Predict the weather which will happen at your school 24 hours from now.

For data from weather stations, use Florida State University Weather Charts., WW210 (scroll down and click on surface observations map of the U.S. or your local region) from the University of Illinois, The Unisys Weather Map (click on Current Surface Map or Regional Data Plots). Also  use Radar Summary from Intellicast/WSI Corp. or Radar Sumary from the Weather Channel (choose either the national or regional radar) or the Radar Plots from Unisys in which you can choose radar images for the past twelve hours.

Please follow these directions:

  1. Record the present readings:
  2. Then predict the following for tomorrow:
For the temperature, pressure, dewpoint, relative humidity and precipitation, were your trends correct? For example, if you predicted the the temperature would be lower and it went lower, then you predicted the correct trend.
For wind direction, were you within one compass point? For example, if you predicted a northeast wind and the wind came from the east, the trend was correct.

What is your conclusion?
