Travelogue Requirements 3 - fold Tourism Brochure Requirements

 

Travelogue Requirements

Each group must produce a travelogue in the form of a Power Point slide presentation, Hyperstudio presentation, or a Web Page.

You must include a map of your route across the United States with points of interest marked and labeled.

You must include information about four National Parks you will visit along the way.

You must include a description of the landforms you see along the way.  Be specific as to the type of landforms and where they were located.

You must include pictures of the National Parks and other possible sites along the way.

If your presentation is in Hyperstudio or Power Point you may include narrations.
 
 

3 - Fold Tourism Brochure Requirements

When making a 3-fold brochure you have six sections to plan for.
Inside Flap
 

This is the flap that will show when the brochure is first opened.  It should contain the reasons someone should visit your National Park.  This will be an extension of your theme ie. nature, recreation, history...
You should include pictures of the Park that feature this theme.

Back Cover
 
 

This section should include:
your name,
the name of your National Park,
a list of resources you have used in designing your brochure.

Front Cover
 

This section should include: 
the name of your National Park,
the theme of your brochure ie.
nature, recreation, history...
and pictures of the Park. 
 
 

 


 
Inside Left
 

This section should include:
Park information such as the history of the park ie. when the area became a National Park, why it became a Park, other information you would like to include that doesn't fit into other panels.

Inside Middle
 

This section should include:
visitor information ie. points of interest, recreational opportunities, location of the Park and hours of operation.
You should include pictures of the points of interest or recreation.
 

Inside Right
 

This section should include:
description of the landforms included in your park.  Even if you have a "history" based park the site will include landforms. You should also include pictures of the landforms in your park.
